Just a few days following the release of our all new iPad SafeWallet, we’re excited to release today a new SafeWallet maintenance update for several of SafeWallet clients. Today’s new update includes a new update for SafeWallet for Windows, Firefox SafeWallet, Chrome SafeWallet and the long-waited update for our BlackBerry SafeWallet!

Today’s new update isn’t about new features, but instead, we took a short time-out to focus on pending fixes and packed them with today’s new updates. While you probably won’t find super-exciting new features with this post, these new updates should work smoother & more optimized than any previous SafeWallet version, and above all, this should help us continue build strong infrastructure that will help us move forward towards more exciting features!

As with all our previous updates, today’s new updates (for all different platforms) are available as free updates to all of our registered users.

Without any further ado, let’s start reviewing what’s new!

SafeWallet for Windows v2.4.2 – maintenance update

1.BlackBerry syncing problem fixed – Ever since the introduction of online-identities (/website logins) support with the new SafeWallet browser integration, BlackBerry users felt left out due to a bug that prevented them from syncing their new Websites folder content to their BlackBerry phones. Today’s new update includes the necessary fix (both on the Windows side and BlackBerry side) that lets BlackBerry users enjoy the new online-identities feature with their BlackBerry phone too!

Starting with today’s new release, when syncing SafeWallet for Windows with SafeWallet for BlackBerry the Websites folder content will sync properly over to our SafeWallet BlackBerry client.

* BlackBerry users – Please note you also need to update your BlackBerry SafeWallet client to the new version – posted in this post below.

2. Firefox add-on start-up problem fixed – With our last version, Firefox 3.6.x users were getting a message asking them to install SafeWallet for Windows, even though it was already installed on their machine. This bug was located and fixed.

3. SafeWallet search improved – Starting with this new version, when searching through your wallet for specific card, the search will also look for results in your Websites folder – helping you easily locate different site logins that are stored in your wallet. In addition, the SafeWallet search algorithm was optimized even more to achieve blazing-fast search performance (on top of the existing super-fast searching).

4. New SafeWallet logo – As announced with the recent iPad & iPhone SafeWallet update, our SafeWallet logo received a cool update and looks tons cooler and more professional now. With this new release we updated our logo graphics everywhere it is used in the Windows, Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and BlackBerry SafeWallet clients.

5. Code optimization and minor fixes – In addition to all of this, we also did a lot of code optimization and various different fixes across the different SafeWallet clients that are included as part of this new release.

6. BlackBerry client adds Websites folder support – Our BlackBerry client was badly missing support for the recently added Websites folder, the folder storing all online identities that are automatically added by the SafeWallet Browser add-ons.  Starting with today’s new update, BlackBerry SafeWallet fully supports the Websites folder and will display all your online-identities following your first sync with SafeWallet for Windows. (Assuming that you have at least one web-site login stored in your wallet).

We hope this will help many of our users who have been looking forward for this addition for a while now. We apologize for the delay it took us to include this addition on the BlackBerry side.

That’s it for today’s new maintenance update. In the next couple of days we plan to deliver a new minor update for our SafeWallet for iOS, taking care of a few minor bugs and new features, then – in about two weeks, we’ll introduce the brand new SafeWallet  for Android Tablets!!
