PhoneWeaver for Android v2.2 Released!

PhoneWeaver for Android LogoGreat new week fellow Android users! Just a few weeks following our recent PhoneWeaver v2.1.5 release, we’re excited to bring you today the new PhoneWeaver v2.2 release!

Today’s new version is packed with great new features: new awesome icons, new logic options that make PhW way easier to configure and much more! As with all our updates, this new release also includes fixes for various issues reported by our dedicated PhoneWeaver community. We sure hope you’ll love it!

As always, the new PhoneWeaver update is available for free to all registered users. Just download the new version from the Market and install it on top of the current version to enjoy the latest and greatest.

Let’s move to the interesting part! Read ahead for the full details about this new release.


PhoneWeaver 2.2.0 Highlights

1. More icons and different Task bar icons – New icons designed especially for the ultra high density screen devices recently released. The new version icons also improves the look of the current icons with other devices. The new version also adds 144(!!) new profile icons, tripling PhoneWeaver’s icon store size – giving you much more personalization options to meet with each and every user specific needs.

2. Default profile optional combination – The new versions adds a new setting that lets you define smarter rules. When enabled, PhoneWeaver will now combine (/merge) the current profile with the current Default Time profile – if such exists. The Default Time profile is referring to the Time profile that should be active based on the current time. The new setting is disabled by default.

Using this new setting users can modify only specific features of the phone, and yet rely on the base-time profile to define the remaining features at every given time.

3. New alternate data control for Android 2.3 and up – Since Gingerbread, alternate data control, not based on APN renaming that was used optionaly on GSM devices and mandatory for CDMA ones stopped working. With today’s new PhoneWeaver release we’ve added a new alternate control method for those devices. This new alternate method is that it is compatible with the default device data checkbox, so you will see the Device settings – Wireless & networks – Mobile Networks – Data enabled checkbox changing acordingly.

CAUTION: This method is not compatible with APN renaming method which is the one PhoneWeavr uses by default.

4.Beep on profile change - Another cool new feature added with this new release brings sound-notification to PhoneWeaver. When enabled, PhoneWeaver will play a short sound each time a profile changes. This will help you stay in track with your phone and configuration, even when away from your phone. By default, the tone is set to silent.

5.Reorder settings – The settings has been reordered & reorganized for better logic and easier use.

6.Copy profile option on the edit profiles context menu – If you have a full defined profile and want to do another simmilar, you can copy it. Trigger and icon won’ be copied and a new name will be asked for it.

7. Night car mode -Now night screen can be preseected for car mode.

8. All day events supported – New options in app settings allows taking into account all day events for agenda triggers.

9. Several code improvements – Better management of vibration and auto answer.

10. New features screen – A new features screen that will be active for the first run of every upgrade and from the program settings.

Users that already registered PhoneWeaver in the past will find the new update waiting for them for free via the Market application on your Android. Just download & update to the latest and greatest. :)
