With just a few days since our SafeWallet for Chrome first release, we just released today a new minor update to SafeWallet. This new release includes some small and cool enhancements to the SafeWallet Windows client side, plus a few minor fixes to all three browser extensions (Chrome, Firefox & IE) that we collected from users’ feedback since the new release.

Like our previous updates, today’s new update is free to all of our SafeWallet registered users, so you can just download and install to enjoy the new additions and fixes. Read ahead for the full details about this new version.

What’s new with SafeWallet Windows v2.4.1

1. New auto-updates notifications – One thing many users have been asking for is a way to stay tuned with new SafeWallet updates without having to actively monitor our site. Automatic updates were already available with the different browser plugins, and also with our Mac client, but were still missing with the Windows client itself. The new SafeWallet client finally adds a solution for this which will help stay up-to-date very easily!

Starting with this new version each time a new version is released on our site you will be presented with a notice stating that a new version is available, including a direct download link, or, a link to read more – just in case you’d like to know what’s new

2. Fixed Chrome extension installation problem when Firefox not installed on the PC – We had a small (yet annoying) problem with the previous version installer which prevented users without Firefox installed on their PC to install the new Chrome extension. The Chrome and Firefox extensions aren’t linked in anyway – we simply called the wrong function in the installer :/ We’re sorry for this confusion – this is now fixed and Chrome users who had this problem should be able to install the Chrome extension without a problem now.

In addition, we fixed a few more minor issues that were reported with the browser extensions, but those are mainly on the engine side.
